Has anyone been?
I'm contemplating an organized 4-day trip to northern Iceland in February or March. It feels very decadent, but well, I guess now is the time to do it.
Any experiences?

I haven't been to Akureyri but I've driven within spitting distance - Iceland is so beautiful, I want to go back.
My preference is for hiring a car and driving around as much as possible, the scenery is breathtaking.
If you have a chance to go I'd say do it.

I would imagine Feb/March is very cold in that part of the world, but probably also spectacular!

Oh wow! I missed this first time, but was going to say, definitely, do it. We went to the Western Fjords a few years ago, and were seriously considering a cruise of the north when everything locked down...
