We flew from Sicily to Germany on 23 March.
My husband's suitcase arrived by courier yesterday evening, 3 April.
He had already bought replacements for some things – like toiletry and underwear – and a new pair of shoes, which can be returned. Apparently lost luggage usually turns up within 48 hours or not at all. Has anyone had a longer gap between their arrival and their suitcase's?! Tell me your stories of luggage hell…

Longest without luggage for us was about 18 hours.
The Man had to wear the complimentary one-size-fits-all underwear that Aer Lingus provided us which was hilarious (to me).
Every since, he always has a spare pair in his carry on.

I think LaTart´s luggage made it here72 hours after her appearance. Mind you, she arrived in flip-flops. In December...

First time Clipper met my parents, he flew in for Christmas and his bags arrived about 30 hours later. But as he'd had a stopover in Hong Kong and it was there they went missing it was longer than that, so he got the $300 or whatever the amount the airline gives you to go shopping for new clothes.

in bangkok my luggage arrived the same afternoon, so maybe half a day late - that was fine. it also got lost once on a transfer at Charles de Gaulle - took a couple of days, maybe three or four to get back - but I was home so it was only a minor issue (except for my phone charger I think).
swore never to fly via CDG again, though it seems I may have to in May to save on some money :-(

mei - absolutely, CDG is the pits! Before this latest incident (which didn't involve CDG) I'd only had delayed baggage twice before... and they were both through CDG. I've spoken to others who have said this too.
