PG has popped on the train to the next big town from us to go to the Turkish butchers. He's brought home huge veal osso bucco pieces but unfortunately they'll have to go into the freezer as we head off on holiday tomorrow night. However, he also got the butcher to mince up some nice looking pure beef and he's going to have spaghetti bolognese simmering away for hours this afternoon, which sounds pretty awesome too.

Well it was GOING to be a chicken dish, but I put the chicken on the counter to defrost at 8:30 and forgot to leave a note for pero to put it back later in the morning and he didn't notice it there, so... we had ravioli

I had intended on ordering in tacos but made the mistake of making it for pickup so I had to cancel because the taco place is way to far to walk to at this point (I'm in pjs and am not putting a bra back on).
So i'm boiling some penne and eating the last of the chicken cutlets with some tomato sauce, which is basically what I had for lunch.

Tuna melt! All this discussion of diners in the NYC PU thread made me want a tuna melt, so that is what I made. I put capers in the tuna, which worked.

Leftover tortellini mixed with leftover roast beets and tomato sauce, topped with a LOT of parmigiana because we need ALL the cheese tonight, salad, and a glass of bourbon
It all actually tastes better than it sounds.
