Wow so it occurred to me that I'm going to be in the UK/Scotland in LESS THAN A MONTH and so it would behoove me to tell you all what I'm doing. Fervent apologies for not doing this earlier... I am in a state of being logistically overwhelmed.
So anyway, that being out of the way, here's what is up:
- June 23rd I'm flying into Edinburgh and immediately taking a train down to Newcastle where I'm going to meet up with somewhat-absent WT folks megs & slim & sticktoria & elliedee. rom I think is coming; we'll do some Thing that night, I think?
- Then the next day (June 24th) megaslim & I are heading to Edinburgh - I've already mentioned this to sprite, and Things could occur there as well;
- Then on the 27th I'm off on a train to meet up with a nature tour to look for dragonflies, first in the mountains and then up to Gairloch. I'll be taking the train from Inverness back to Edinburgh the afternoon of July 2nd, flying back here July 3rd.
So there you have it. If anyone is interested in anything, PM me or pop into the thread. Again, sorry for procrastinating on the planning ughhghgh

Looking into Edinburgh. Flights are OK but accommodation is so expensive!

Seem to have booked flights and a hotel in Newcastle on the Friday. Will sort car and somewhere to stay in Edinburgh for the Saturday.

I just realised I’ll be in Sydney to see The Mousetrap on June 24th. Maybe we could have a pissup in Sydney to coincide with the Edinburgh one!

I'll be celebrating 29 years of marriage that weekend, so sadly won't be able to make it (or to Sydney). But will be enjoying lots of lovely food and wine, so will raise a glass to you all.

I missed this, because I was on a trip, which is ironic.
My accom advice is to huddle and see if you can get a place together, but that is sort of trusting that you'll all have compatible toilet habits.
Liiisa: there is a tram from the Airport to very near your place, and if you buy the cheaper return ticket, it's good for a few weeks.
This is sounding very exciting.
