We are three female old farts - or travelling tarts - who met on the lp, Older Travellers branch.Two of us hang around this branches well. We are planning an Alaska junket in August or Sept 2014. While we can get a cabin that could accommodate three, it might be a bit tight... so if there is anyone out there in the int'l world who would consider joining us, You don't have to be an old fart but a tart might be welcome. then we could get two cabins, ,Let me (us) know. Start point will probably be Vancouver, and details compatibility are just being tossed around. Two of the three have met irl, but the third is from a land faaaaaaaar away in wilds of the magical kangaroos and koala-land of Oz
things we will have to know:
Should we cruise up and spend some time around Anchorage and fly back? do a round trip? Opt for a balcony? a window? Who snores? how badly? are ear plugs needed? Do you hang your underwear all over the shower stall? are you a messy or neat freak person? morning grump? How many times a night are you up to use the bathroom? do you expect to do everything with roommate? how are your table manners? Are you a lush? a gambler? any serious health issues? are you a control freak? do you get sea sick?
None of us have a great deal of $$, so we are trying to do this as economically as possible. None of us like giant cruise ship cities, so i am trying to find the smallest boat we could afford. Holland America looks good with less than (gasp) 2,000 people. The really neat, smaller boats are way too expensive.
That's the kind of stuff has to be discussed before hooking up with a 'stranger'. ;-) The 3 of us live in different cities/countries, and have started working on these things, and so far it's been all positive. like doing research, so i am doing the legwork.
