Ever had too much of a good thing? So much so that it just doesn’t feel the same? Remember when I spoke of “my beloved cappuccino”? And I’d literally wax lyrical about it all? Well I think it’s a safe bet that those days are very quickly coming to an end and have already come and gone for ever!
Got sick of cappuccinos so moved to flat white but sick of them too. Sadly, coffee is almost a staple but where’s the tea? Places offering online orders need to lift their game and provide free &%

I have no recollection of you ever waxing lyrical about a cappuccino.
Why don't you just drink a regular brew?

I do recall that. It was your weekly treat, right? Maybe find a new place to have your weekly coffee. Somewhere that is different to sit at and enjoy? Webs - a regular coffee here in NZ and Australia is usually an espresso based coffee so a flat white is just a plain old normal coffee. in saying that, I sometimes just have a long black and add a side of milk to it. Drip coffee is available but it's either downright nasty and harder and harder to find or it's a bit more boujee. Funny split really. But yeah, a plain coffee is espresso.

I won’t give up coffee until I retire completely. I tried to once, and nearly fell asleep driving home. Tea just doesn’t do it for me.

...provide free not sure what that was. I remember you saying the cappuchino was the treat. I amdmit I found that odd, because although I Looooooovvvve coffee, I drink less of it on very hot days, and I always imagine Australia as very ho (which I know isn't completely accurate). I don't care much for espresso-based drinks, which is a problem for me because UK cafes seems to have jumped from serving instant coffee to espresso machines. One of the things I love about going home is getting good drip/filter coffee without paying through the nose. This is also the only redeeming feature of Starbux in the UK, they often have filter coffee. Is the problem maybe the frothy milk? Or the coffee? I enjoy Chai and Chai Lattes, you might also try a 'golden' latte, made from turmeric. Sounds wierd, I know, but is actually both refreshing and gentle. Like how you feel after a proper good hug from someone you love.

I remember you talking about cappuccinos, since I love them too and related to that. But I quit drinking them all the time because making them with anything other than whole milk is nasty, and I'm trying to lose some weight.
Not sure what a free &% is, but hope you work out whatever it is that you need to have happen here

Turmeric lattes are nice.
You know what I like but kind of as a different "treat" drink? Coconut flat white. It's a bit like drinking an adult milkshake but I like it once in a while.

I was all about lattes made with oatmilk and some flavors. But the last couple of weeks not so much. The syrup is a lot of sugar. I need something other than water to drink but can't seem to find what I like.

It's hot where you live. Investigate iced options, my cafe does an iced latte, and I love an affogatto.
Be careful though - lots of places add syrups to iced drinks and that can add up to a lot of extra sugar.

I like strong cold brew with seltzer in it when it's really hot out, though I know people some think that's an abomination.
I don't think it's always hot there, though; it's in the south (i.e. the equivalent of the north)

I don't think it's always hot there, though; it's in the south (i.e. the equivalent of the north) It was 30 of normal degrees there yesterday (86 of your fancy US degrees), and it'll be that again on Friday. Warm enough for an ice coffee... fav cafe does nitro brew over ice but only on hot days... come on June.

But then I drink my coffee cold most of the year, so an iced coffee is a small step in the middle of summer...

What, exactly is bubble tea? Is it something that when drinking lots of bubbles are made and blow away - like the soapy bubble pipes we had as children! There’d be hundreds of bubbles.

A Twinings tea bag in the Soda Stream? I've not come across bubble tea.
Once, when we were motoring around Europe with a baby, we inadvertently bought sparkling mineral water (maybe it was in Bulgaria where our language proficiency was zero) to mix her formula. It turned out that she quite liked the frothy milk.

I like bubble tea (boba)! Though some of them, like the cheese one, are weird. But the ones that are closer to what I expect from iced tea or iced coffee are yummy.
My introduction to it was when I was extremely traumatized by my job in 2021 and a colleague whose family was from Taiwan and was very into boba had three different drinks Ubereatsed to my house as a surprise, to make me feel better. Two were delicious (the third was kinda weird).

I quite like bubble tea. I have it as a treat as the tapioca ‘bubbles’ are caloric! I know the texture of tapioca is disliked by some people.

I've had a version of it here in New York. They have no clue.

psw shakerato is made like a cocktail, shaken with espresso and ice; either with milk or without. They have them at the good coffee place near my office, and they're very good - but I'm sure better in Florence.

I need something other than water to drink but can't seem to find what I like. Water with a bit of lemon or lime concentrate? I used to have steamed milk--just steamed milk. Somehow I never think to order that when I'm not in the mood for coffee. I love bubble tea, but then I also really like tapioca.

If I'm not up for caffeine but want something hot, I drink peppermint tea.
