It sbowed overnight. Now it's raining. I'm very nervous about going out, even with the new snow-crampon on my cane. I'm terrified of falling. Wail!!!!!

I'm frozen in. It's going to be just about at freezing for the next couple of days. Can't shovel. Can't leave the house. Utterly bummed. Call the whaaaaambulance, please.

up at 7.00 a.m. and it was already 20c - going to be bloody hot today with an expected high of 40c, which means it will be hotter than that here. Also meant to be another hot night, which means two hot nights one really hot day = one husband who will be intolerable to be around.

Oh, that reminds me I have three packs in my pantry for you - might have to leave them? Don't want to carry them with me tonight!

I'm bringing my hand luggage backpack in empty to carry EGB'S Tim Tams and excess clothing back with me. Give the extra Tim Tams to me when I get down to your place this evening and I'll pop them straight in my backpack.

Bright, sunny but only about 25 degrees here. Perfect beach weather.

A few degrees warmer this morning. The ice has melted off the trees. I will go out and see if I can at least hack a footpath to the street. This is getting beyond tedious.

After another uncomfortable night, had a shower at 2:45am went to bed at three in the morning and it was still bloomin' hot. Waking just before 6:30am you can still sit in the nuddy and feel hottish.
It may be 22° in Melbourne at present but here it is 25° - house still sizzling but thank Le bon Dieu it is not another 40° day. It is cooler out than in.

Did use the few "warm" hours around noon to clear a footpath to the street and get the ice off the cars. Managed to get out for dinner on New Year's Eve. It'll get really cold again in a couple of days.

Psw, your weather sounds ghastly. We had had what passes for cold weather around here.. Sunny, a few degrees above freezing during the day and just slightly below freezing at night. Too cold for me.l I am obviously not a 'true canadian'!

Psw, your weather sounds ghastly. It's a combination of weather and of both me and Mr.W being limited in our physical abilities to cope with it. As many have said, gettin' old ain't for sissies. I understand more and more why people spend the winter months in a warmer climate, although I have no desire (yet) to do so myself.

New Years Day - minus 4C - occasional flakes of snow - grey skies ... pretty much exactly whaat it should be at this time of the year.

Weather here is absolutely crazy. Over the past 15 years of so se have kept on seeing records - but most months beat the previous record by 0,1 degree or so. But last month the average temperature has beaten the previous record by 2,4 degrees. It has been wamer than it normally is in April.
And people don't really seem to realize that this is a disaster. They like the fact that it isn't cold, and they think all those spring flowers in December are pretty. I don't like it at all, I wish we could go back to normal.

Torrential rain this afternoon - apparently there was flooding in my suburb and I'm honestly not surprised. I got caught out in it in the two minutes it took me to open the garage door to get the car out and was soaked. And then when I went to put the door down, the water was flowing off it like a waterfall. This from just a few minutes.

Pissing down up north, roads closed around HD's place, but not unpleasant here just a little to the north - even had a quiet little surf this morning after breakfast at the MacMasters Beach cafe. I think of Oz, who is driving down through all of this (and the dreaded holiday traffic - and the bloody Macksville traffic lights -and the bloody Woodburn 50 kmph speed zone) and reflect upon how fortunate it is not to have to travel in the major holiday periods.
