Exactly sprite. Again, not an argument for not buying them if you can afford them, but everything isn’t about health ffs

The co-op has been selling that oscillo... stuff for ages. If the stuff is that diluted, why not just make up a magic spell and say it over a cup of tea and save yourself the money? It would have the same medicinal qualities. a friend of mine is friends w the fam that makes oscillo. one year they flew her to the states along w their other friends & took over a floor of some hotel for a week of festivities you are basically paying for their lifestyle dont get me started on the rescue remedy bach flower stuff www.mcgill.ca/oss/article/news-quackery-you-asked/you-asked-what-are-bach-flower-remedies

No cuddles was indeed the worst thing about being single. But unfortunately you can't replicate that with strangers (in my opinion).

Exactly. We had a serial hugger in church, who was really good at invading boundaries he had no idea existed.

Exactly. We had a serial hugger in church, who was really good at invading boundaries he had no idea existed. And probably believed it was his spiritual gift...

To be fair, I would rather a quick hug than the nightmare of three kisses in the part of the Netherlands my husband's family is from.
(They know me well enough now to know I'm not comfortable with that!)

I realise this is not exactly "quackery" and I'm quibbling, but yesterday I happened to be reading the NHS England pages on healthy eating, and honestly they were so poorly written and basically garbled, that I think it undermines their arguments.
For example under liquids they write that "semi-skimmed or reduced fat milk" "counts" as a liquid - immediately raising the question of whether full-fat milk (which is after all how it appears from the cow) is not a liquid.
Potatoes don't "count" as one of your 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, not because they are low in nutrients - in fact, due to the quantities British people eat, they get a fair amount of their vitamin C from potatoes - but "because they are used in place of other starchy foods like bread or rice" - what? That's not really a reason, is it? If I replaced my rice with carrots, would they suddenly not be a vegetable anymore?
Besides, NHS England would like us to consume our potatoes with the skins but "without any added salt or fat". Err... good luck with that.
They seem obsessed with mentioning that dried fruit should not be eaten as a snack because it's bad for your teeth. My logical conclusion would be that a packet of crisps would be a preferable snack...
Well done if you got to the end of this rant ;-) I realise that providing general dietary advice is hard. Somehow it just really rubbed me the wrong way.

I picked up a copy of the Nimbin GoodTimes newspaper at the fruit shop the other day, and finished reading it today. Apart from local new articles and ads for Real Estate in the hills, all over $1million, it has columns about every kind of quackery you’ve ever or never heard of, written by local practitioners.

I don't want to be expanded in this physical reality. In fact I would like to lose a kilo or two, even if that would result in my being a bit less grounded.

It's the doTerra oils that bug me at the moment. Sure, they smell nice but they aren't going to cure things and so aren't worth the mega bucks. And the whole 'add them to your food' bit seems wrong. Also, it is another MLM company, so that puts me off - surely if it was that good and that healing it wouldn't need MLM to sell? Oh yes, I got some of those oils as presents from someone who was doing that. I smeared the stress-relief one onto some mosquito bites and they quit itching, so that's something, though of course correlation does not imply causation. found a whole doterra stash outside the harveyweinstein house, the homeless guys took all the furniture left over smelly oils are fine, but they dont cure cancer, contrary to what those "healers" claim the bach flowers did not do anything for the insomnia i got when tzar was stalked by an insane student @ statefuck a newagey mate sent me a whole collection

(They know me well enough now to know I'm not comfortable with that!) LOL It was part of the culture at ex ex company, but for celebrations so your first day back at work was endless kissing. This company not so much, but the ratio of Dutch to non-Dutch would be higher. It should be quick and relatively low contact so I don't mind it. Or at least I didn't in the before times.

"What are the benefits of Stone Therapy? Hot stone massage is not only a relaxing massage method, but it also has many healing properties. Jade is a protective stone used to heal stressed organs and discharge toxins. It slows the aging process and strengthens the body’s natural immune system. These stones are cut to various shapes and sizes and then polished providing a smooth and silky feeling on the skin. The use of massage stones is a great way to increase circulation in and around the area being massaged. Increased blood flow will help clear out toxins and assist in healing an injured or strained area.
Cold stones promote circulation and act as a powerful decongestant for the body. By promoting circulation, a cold stone treatment can ease inflamed tissues, decrease muscle spasms, and can reduce swelling. Switching between cold and hot applications causes blood vessels to alternately dilate and constrict; leading to increased movement of fluids within the body, increased removal of toxins, and increased healing."

this reply on a funny facebook post where somebody move dhouse and their cats (who were locked out of the bedroom) mouwed for 2 weeks all night long:
"Cats are spiritual and can feel all the energys from the past owners that have lived there over the past couple years. While screaming/talking in the night they clean the house while doing so from all those energys that don't belong there anymore. All doors need to be open, so they can past through it. The play through the night so they can release all the energys they stored while protecting you. Cats that are talketive can change the vibration at a place in couple seconds. Also the vibration of their voice echos the space, so they can intuitively feel the new place. When they act out of character they aren't balanced and are triggered by something, frequency music doesn't only help humans but also van help your animals relax. Give them a good soft warm blanket where they can relax, wash it with a good soft smell."
Yes, they are meouwing to release spiri energy not because they are still unsettled in a new home.

demanding when it comes to cuddles...little cat has now figured out I can't escape when I sit on the toilet so winds her way between my legs meouwing for strokes when I do, which can be rather...distracting!
Maybe it's the spiritual energy field around my toilet that triggers that behaviour? LOL

I have signed up for something slightly new agey on Saturday – aerial yoga (which is why I signed up as I really want to try it, looks super cool) followed by a 45 minutes “Sound bath” with Tibetan bowls and what not. To be honest I don’t care about what they think about the healing properties of this – and the advertising wasn’t over the top – the thought of lying down in a dark warm room, with a blanket, surrounded by calming sounds, after some exercise, to do some meditation and take some time out from my brain racing at 100 miles per/hour sounds like total bliss.
