yesterday we had a tofu stir fry in a sriracha marinade. everytime i hear about sriracha, it's people raving about it. i don't get it. it was alright, but i think it'll take a long time to get through that bottle of sauce.

trying out two new recipes tonight, so far they look great:
salad of roasted celeriac (with honey & thime), spelt, hazelnuts and avocado & a lentil soup with celeriac, carrot, leek, cabbage.

We're trying to get into the habit of having guests for Sunday lunch more often. Today there will be roast chicken with lemon and garlic, roast beetroot, parsnips, carrots, onions and potatoes, pease and greens and Yorkshire puddings. Them fruit salad and mango ice cream.

cooked a really yummy dinner last night, salmon prepared in the oven, on a shallots/cream/wine sauce with some type of salty vegetables (schorrekruid, no idea what that is in English), new potatoes and salad. yummm, looked amazing too and so easy.

Some months ago, I started making corn tortillas from scratch, with masa harina and a tortilla press and all. I´ve finally figured out the optimal masa-water ratio, and have started making large batches of tortillas to freeze...
We had tex-mex tonight (with these tortillas). With homemade salsa, homemade guacamole, meat using a homemade spice blend... usually the kids gobble up everything, but, oddly enough, we have leftovers. Lots of leftovers. Including lots of guacamole. They usually lick the guacamole bowl clean...
