Feel better Sprite. I’m cranky at the Facebook warriors and vigilantes in our community who are targeting random innocent children because of what they’re wearing, or where they are. Yes we are having a crime wave, and I was one of the victims, but 99% of the children and young people in our community are completely innocent.

I have a shit ton of work to do today, and not enough hours to do it in, and although my cold isn't bad, it is slowing me down a bit, and i bunged up my shoulder in my sleep so that keeps surprising me. It's my own fault that this work is all happening today.
I even managed to spill coffee grounds all over the kitchen floor and in the sink--partner cleaned up the worst of it for me, saving at least 3 cafetieres worth of grounds! but still, I did not need that extra job.

Sprite, my post vanished up the kharzi so retyping. Sending get well thoughts across the seas, hope you start feeling better soon. You’re in Scotland, yes? I went looking for some Scottish jokes to cheer you up a bit, but they too, were wiped out.
What’s a Scotsman’s favourite game? Loch, paper, scissors.
An Englishman said to a Scot "take away your mountains, glens and lochs and what have you got?" "England", replied the Scot.

haha to both of those! You might enjoy the FB group, "Travel Scotland Goals". They post very serious sounding tourist suggestions, but then looking at the photo for the caption, it's something ridiculous.

What is it with people buying and selling houses? Just got a call from the agent, buyer wants a quote for a termite barrier before the contracts are exchanged. This is after my solicitor told me they were being exchanged today. So someone is coming in the next hour, I hope. When I bought this house, it was the vendor who kept coming up with stuff, after contracts were exchanged. First he built a fence, then he wanted to build a carport, which I didn’t need or want, and would have had to pay for. And at midday on the day I was moving, when my possessions were all on the moving truck, he decided I couldn’t move in because he hadn’t collected his alarm system, something else I didn’t need or want.

Some people are just nasty, and delight in making life difficult, particularly if they think they have the upper hand. Years ago we sold the farm and in the house part of the contract I didn't read it very closely as just wanted out. Instead of washing machine taps it read washing machine, taps. Moving day I took the very old washing machine to exs house. Purchaser created merry hell so returned the machine. Karma was on my side. It broke down with 2 weeks and wasn't worth fixing.

football training is tonight.
The council updates the status of the sports grounds on their website at 2pm for evening training. Some had been closed this morning due to still being sodden after the torrential rain last week.
At 2pm they updated the site to all grounds open.
At 2.01pm a massive storm hit the area.
They are meant to take account of the forecast as well as the actual conditions when doing updates.
Oh well, will have a muddy child tonight

Pest people didn’t come, after stuffing up my afternoon. I let the agent know at 6.30. He will tell his mate who’s the buyer’s agent, who assured him they were coming around 1 pm.

I agree, Sprite. I can’t afford to replace anything until after my house sale goes through.

All my IBS-like FODMAP food difficulties caught up with me yesterday. Felt crook half the day and most of the night and spent most of that time tucked up in bed snoozing.
OK this morning thankfully. I do have to be less cavalier about what I eat.

There's an interior design program on TV, with Alan Carr. One of the designs for a hotel room included a commode, because the designer has IBS. It was an interesting perspective.

I bought a shirt dress online which fitted perfectly. Washed it once and can no longer do it up over my chest.

If you followed the washing instructions, I'd be sending that back, pronto.
I have a student writing an exam in 14 days. He wants to have a class everyday, because he cannot make himself work without me actually there. I totally empathise, and I understand... but I cannot do that level of contribution, not even for just 2 weeks.
I'm going to set up G-Calendar pings to prompt him to do very short practice tests, but even that is above and beyond.
So, I'm pissed off that the people who need my niche expertise quite frequently do not earn enough money to pay me for it!

It was in a lovely wicker chair, so it was only when people looked closely and realised that the seat was somehow thicker than expected, and then, their faces!! fabulous.

Was the idea "I think about commodes a lot because of my IBS and so I want them to be part of my aesthetic" or "I sometimes have to use the facilities that are in the livingroom"?

I thought that I was leading a stitching class tomorrow at the arts group. Another woman seems to have taken it over. I am not going to fight her over it, but it gives me a feeling of not being trusted.

The idea was probably "I can't run that far that fast! Gotta have something two steps away!" Yup, the design was for a BnB where guests have a sink in their room, but no private bathroom--it's a converted nunnery. I suspect it wasn't kept, purely because of the extra cleaning required, but it's a great way to get people thinking about toilet needs! Today I'm pissed off because in all the hard resets I've had to do on my laptop, the end result is that all my logins have to be re-done, and some have been lost. Including the email I needed for this morning's lesson. My student had to post the link to her homework in the chat, because I couldn't open it. My password isn't working, and the school manager hasn't replied to me yet.

Argh! Sprite. I’ve reached the age where I will only book ground floor rooms, or rooms with lift access, and they must have an en suite.

Still no word from the school manager, although it may be that my non-work email went to his spam. It's just embarrassing to meet a student and have to ask them to give me access to the work we're doing...
In worse news, I would like to do a significant movement of the toilet variety, before leaving to meet a student, but my gut is in slo-mo.

The paperwork that I get in the mail that looks like official medicare documents. AARP and United Healthcare (a private company) sent something that looks like that. I think that a lot of people might be tricked into signing up. The lady at the social security office told me that this happens.
