THat is the downside of being sensible. When the spirit calls, there's none to answer.
We went to a little caf for alate lunch yesterday, and discovered that they do a wonderful all-day Turkish breakfast. But there's was a sodcaster at another table forcing us all to listen to his (not very interesting) conversation, and he kept swearing. I swear a lot, but not in public where I don't know how others will take it. He was so loud, I could hear him downstairs in the toilet. Thankfully he left just as our food arrived.

I know that some bars are more family friendly if they mostly serve food. But my friend who plays loud rock music is playing at one that is not. He mentioned that his wife is bringing the grandkids over for a few sets. I just don't think that it's a place for kids old enough to start to be impressionable. Plus bad for the ears. These 2 have 2 different fathers that my have passed on some bad dna. I know that I am judging away, but people like me don't want kids around while I am drinking.

The new Coles app/website.
Finally managed to put through an order last night. It was really late today for pick up, but that happens some times if they are busy.
Now I've unpacked it at home I can see they've made a substitution (even though I click no substitutions) and put in something that has a major allergy risk for LC, rather than the safe version.
And with the new set up I can't report this just yet as my order is still showing as 'active' and so just won't load in the report a problem with your order area.
I don't really care about the money, it's more the mix up of products. It looks so similar we could easily have had an issue

Argh, found a place I can put in a rant about substitutions.
Form did not go through.
I am so over Coles right now

That’s not good. I used Coles for online shopping, as their delivery fees are cheaper than Woollies, but some of their substitutions are bizarre.

All good in the end, finally got the form to send and they have already credited my account.
It was just extra hassle that I did not need today.

Email from airline today and our upcoming flight has been changed from a direct flight to two flights via Brisbane. FFS. More than doubles the travel time.

PG's wallet getting stolen on our day out today, the last working day before we go on our roadtrip on Monday. Thank goodness he has a passport as well as an ID card to travel on and has a spare bank card here at home but the ring around cancelling bank cards, drivers licence, notifying health insurance etc is a right pain.

riverhorse, I feel your pain. At least the people who stole my keys and car only took the bank cards and cash. They left my wallet behind with all the rest of the cards, including licence, pension and Medicare.

He found a page late yesterday that he'd made copies of all his important documents so at least he has his health insurance number if it's needed for anything. And I have my own copy of our roadside assistance membership as we're joint members and thank goodness I was the one that carries our car rego papers with me. And here, the penalty for driving without a licence is only €10 so he's prepared to risk that until his new licence comes through# as random police checks are very rare here.
At least he managed to get to the town hall before it closed at 6pm last night to get the ball rolling on ID replacement. They will also notify the police for him.

A friend had her purse taken recently and she figured it cost her over $2000 to replace everything. Because her house and car keys were in there, she had to have her house locks retooled, car locks redone, as well as replace all the cards. It was a very stressful few days for her.

That sucks, sophie!
I've started keeping wallet, keys, and phone in my pockets like a boy - so if someone takes my bag the worst it'll cost me is a book, some Advil, and a water bottle.

I'm meant to be working as the latest debacle has trebled my load, and hacked off with my sister in law who without warning turned up, with 3 snooty nosed grandkids in tow, to see if I had any covid test kits. I did. She and 2 of the kids are strong positives and have put their bugs through my place, and it's freezing cold so sitting here, with the place wide open, shivering and complaining. It's nearly 6 months since I had covid. Too short to have the next round of vaccinations, too long to be better protected.

Sophie we certainly do, but at least half of them are great. Ex came from a very large family and somehow I've never quite managed to get rid of them. My mother in law used to describe her as heart as big as a bucket, brain the size of a pea. She's always the first to turn up if you are ill or need help so I forgive her every time.

The never ending court dramas surrounding Bruce Lehrmann.
The decision on a defamation case was meant to be handed down on Thursday, but now it has been reopened and more hearings will take place on Thursday and Friday.
Can't he just disappear somewhere and this all ends?

At lunchtime I didn’t answer a phone call because I was wrestling my doona into a cover, a difficult job I tend to put off as long as possible. Friend left a cryptic message, something had happened and she couldn’t tell me in a message. I knew when I rang her back, I would be on the phone for over an hour, So I ended up missing lunch completely, with a call lasting nearly 1 1/2 hours. Mostly about unimportant family trivia (hers). Turned out she’d heard a mutual acquaintance who lived in the northern hemisphere had died but couldn’t verify it.

When you cook a piece of meat and your gut is "off" after. I added mushrooms and fresh spinach. It could have been the mushrooms that contaminated the whole dish. Now I don't want to look at or smell it.

Why on earth would a media company pay for sex workers and drugs to secure an interview with an alleged rapist?
Yes, I'm still pissed off, and the details this morning make me even more pissed off.

That sounds quite shitty??
I have a student every wednesday at 2:30. He paid for 4 more lessons, so I updated the Google calendar schedule to reflect this.
today, at 2:45, he texted to ask if we were still on. G-Calendar had decided to update this to reflect daylight savings time. So instead of being a few minutes early, i was 45 minutes late.
now I have to recheck all my other lessons...
