cold - as it should be in winter snowy - as it should be in winter
(*this should not be misconstrued that I like this weather - on the contrary, I don't but I'm Canadian and we like to complain about the weather)

clear and v-e-r-y cold.
Mr.W's car doors were frozen shut. We had to hack away at a lot of ice to get them open.

i didn't look at the temps today, which was just as well. it was sunny, but there was a nasty headwind on the cycle home.
turns out it was about 2C, which explains why my house was only 13C but still felt warm. i'm waiting for it to warm up before i shower. boohoo.

Bloody freezing here. On the way home, the Eifel mountains (more like big hills really - think Blue Mountains west of Sydney, they look very similar on the horizon) that are just beyond my village had snowy tops - the sun was shining on the snow in the last of the evening light and it looked very pretty.

Tail end of a nor'easter right now. It was raining when I got up this morning, now has gone over to snow. It's supposed to end this afternoon. I'll have to brush the car off before nightfall so I don't wind up with an igloo on a hockey rink like last time. I must get out tomorrow morning to go to a brunch.

Here - was snowing earlier this afternoon, currently 0C and EGB and I spent the afternoon walking in the snow in a ski area about 40 minutes south of here on the Belgian border.

Cold, snowing.
Bad time for the boiler to breakdown. We've had heating (mostly) but not hot water on tap (again, mostly). Now the heating seems to have conked out also. We're out most of tomorrow (someone's running cross-country(!)) and it's due to be fixed Mon pm.

It snowed overnight and was below zero when I woke up. When I say snowed, think of icing sugar dusting on oliebollen.

Did I say "some" rain? It has rained.all.day! Wow, it's been so long since that happened, it is quite a treat.
I may not say that on Friday, which is when the rain is predicted to end!
