Terms I like:
static caravan
I remember first hearing that on TT and thinking what the hell! I had this image of a caravan, like camels and such, only with... static electricity? Anyway later I learned it was just what we'd call a "trailer," which isn't as interesting but I still like it.

Kogarashi
This is the first cold wind you feel in autumn that lets you know winter is fast approaching. It means “leaf-shaking wind,” and it might have you shaking too! Depending on your feelings about winter, the coming of kogarashi is either exciting or foreboding. Nicely reflecting a lot of Japanese culture, this word is both poetic and practical.

I had to look that up, because that is the Egyptian pronunciation and I didn't recognize it. Standard Arabic transcription would be ya qamr. Q like a K but further back in the throat.

Tombolo
New word I learned this weekend while staying in a beach house and which now reminds me of a happy place.

Fjard!
Who knew there was such a thing? I'm guessing lots of you did know this, I'm just late to the game.

I enjoyed reading some of the creative descriptive terms that some of you used to describe your orange President. I have just come across this word, used to explain our Prime Minister's activities in Rome and Glasgow: "bunglefuck"

May I add a word I don’t like, at least in its current context. Why is ScoMo using the word “sledging” to describe what others are saying? It belongs on a sports field, not in diplomacy.
