Thank you for this! I had a soggy BLT for dinner tonight. This would have gone over much better. The kitchen only goes above 15c when I'm cooking. Otherwise, it's usually cooler than that. The soup seems to be fine - my dad's done that for years! I did struggle with meat for a while, and am still intermittent about it. I occasionally get a picture in my head of eating animal flesh and picture what it is, if you see what I mean. My mate is a vegan so it's all her fault! The healthy sausage casserole:- low fat sausages (I use Weight Watchers cumberland sausages) potatoes carrots turnip onions (any other veg you like) chicken and / or veg stock cubes Cook the sausages on a grill (my George Foreman is good for this) to get shot of all the fat you can Chop the veg into large chunks Boil the vegetables up When they're cooked, drain the water into a bowl or pot and keep it Chop the sausages into chunks a similar size to the veg or bigger Chuck it all into a casserole dish Put the veg / chicken stock cubes into the vegetable water (retains the veg flavour then) Pour the stock into the casserole dish, cover and put into the oven (I used gas mark 6 ) for about 30 mins or so. Very little fat, lots of veg, I use no-salt stock cubes so limited salt in the dish, and it's TASTY!

Tonight was cheese fondu with cauliflower, carrots, homemade bread, orange pepper and mushrooms to dip it up. Lots of leftover fruitcake and chocolates for dessert.

Q - it has a clear broth (usually chicken), with greens (usually escarole, kale, or spinach), small meatballs, and small pasta (like orzo, acini di pepe, pastina). I read that as acne di pepe. This is clearly grossout season. Viv, yeah, I started to think of it as meat and then it bothered me. The vegetarians are coming for my soul, it seems.

BBQ Chook. LC kindly passed on his cold to me, so I feel super miserable today and my parents and Riverhorse kindly came round with food. The chook means I can just serve as is, make hot sandwiches, sandwiches for preschool lunch tomorrow and do things like pasta bake or chicken pies if I feel a bit better by night time. Makes life so much easier.

Get well soon Halcy! I just had red thai curry soup from the local supermarket and a small bread roll. Still hungry though and trying hard not to attack the chocolate machine downstairs!

Just the smell of fresh oranges makes me retch - if I would have to eat one I surely would throw up. Leftover from childhood drama...
Tonight is Paella, yum!
