Chicken madras with brown rice. And I'm making a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and strawberries but I can't eat it as I'm giving it away!

I do -
Stuff you put in them
50g pine nuts 1 small red onion, finely chopped Chilli to taste (I use about 1 tbsp of chopped jalapenos, but dried or fresh will do) 400g (tin) borlotti beans, drained and rinsed 2 tbsp sundried tom paste 85g fresh breadcrumbs 1 tbsp thyme leaves, dried will do 1 egg, beaten
Throwing it all together
- Over medium heat lightly toast the pine nuts for 2-3 mins, remove from heat and set aside. - Fry onions in a little oil until soft. - Mash borlotti beans in a bowl, until paste like. Add pine nuts, onion, chillies, tom paste, ½ breadcrumbs, thyme and egg. Mix well. - With wet hands shape mixture in 4 burgers. Coat with breadcrumbs. Cover and chill in fridge for minimum of 30 mins. - To cook, heat a thin layer of oil in a large frying pan. Fry for 3-4 mins each side until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and serve.

Cold Soba, yum yum yum
I had an awful dinner. Fries, frikandel, chicken wings, kapsalon (means hair salon but it's basically fries, topped with kebab meat, salad and lots of sauce) and another huge sausage thing with peanut sauce. Disgusting. It was delivered so it was all soft and yucky. Never again...

lucky you!
tonight: pearl barely with sweet potato, onion, and cougette, done in the rice cooker with chicken stock. i've just discovered sweet potato greens, so will steam some on top of rice cooker and mix in. slurp.
tomorrow is pork chop, sweet potatoes and sweet potato greens.
wednesday is stir-fried chicken and mushrooms with mango salsa. except i have no mango, so it's with apricot instead.

Right now I'm just munching on sunflower seeds.
For lunch I brought the other half a small rottiserie chicken. I had the first half yesterday (first time getting it from this store) and it was awful - dry and greasy, but it's what I have, along with some olives, at least those are good.
Tonight I'm making crab muffins and salad. Yum

split pea soup in the rice cooker. tasty, but not even liquid so it's atually more like split pea hummous with bacon.# still good. and all to myself--the man isn't feeling great and refuses to eat.
