Wow, My first post and cue the drama already. Webs, it's simple. I took the info from barsoom's post #78 ("The exodus from TT has taken people fro WT and YC and The Meeting Pot on Proboards and to Political Stew."), Googled it and that led me to the first place I posted on. From there, I followed the link from the thread. Simple. Just copied and pasted what you quoted. I have no idea what you're talking about but I've got "RPG BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS"

Well. I don't know what to tell you. Proboards gives you the option of turning off google searchablity. I checked the box "No".
I did what I was supposed to.
I don't know what else you people would like to have done.
If you have a suggestion, please research how to accomplish it and let me know.

Like I said, I'm not fussed if the main link is searchable. Maybe this is how we will get fresh blood in here over time.

And it has done what it was supposed to do - you can find the forum main page if you search on the name of the fourm. It does look like handles will come up in searches. But you don't get results from the content of the forum. So google is only allowed to see the front door.

Q! I made your sig. *honored*
It looks like the board itself (our posts/content) isn't searchable, which is the main thing. So say there existed a company named Collies and Co, and someone here on FJ made a thread bashing Collies and Co, that thread wouldn't pull up under a google search for Collies and Co.
*Please note: any posts bashing collies will result in an immediate banning.

Is there any way to adjust the number of posts shown on each page, or even a 'Show all posts' button? I often use my phone for browsing, and my fingers are too fat to hit the little arrows to go to the next page. (First world problem, I know. )

Hmm, I was trying to set the timezone to my own but find I can't do GMT + 5.30 (which is what it is). Only options are GMT + 4 and GMT + 5.
Am I being an idiot or is there really no option as above?

i don't quite understand all this, but FYI i just googled 'figjamnation' and it took me directly here, and allowed me to see all the posts except 'group therapy'. Don't know if i care one way or another, but i thought i'd mention it.

Canay, were you by any chance logged in at the time? Try logging out and then googling it, you should only be able to see the first page.

Thanks for checking, witchypoo - it's not a big issue. Nutsy - Just pack up and move 1/2 timezone, problem solved. ;D

I've just done the same test on a different browser (so not logged in) and you CAN see posts in library and travel. But you CANNOT see posts in general board, the parent trap or group therapy. I'm hoping that's what the mods intended!

Dont let mod power go to your head Msbellerae Surely we can all agree that a general good will towards dogs with extra long noses is a founding principle for all posts here on the Jam.. yep... you guys are right. i was logged on. whew.
and MsB. (hey... do we have two MsB's now) i want to reach out ahd hold that lovely long handle of a nose. Sadly, being a shit/poo, Jacob has a deficiency in the nose department. Can't even put a muzzle over it (for grooming purposes)

Jacob looks dapper in sweaters, though, so he does have that going for him. And he has big, soulful eyes. They must suck the groomers in right before he gets them ;]

Is Proboards being slow for anyone else today? I've noticed that here and the Pot seem to be loading threads really slowly, whereas the Stew is loading normally. Other websites seem normal to me, too. Not sure if it is just me?

I haven't noticed any slowness. Actually, I had trouble posting in a thread here an hour or two ago, and when I refreshed the Pot a minute ago, Safari timed out.

Upload the pic to an image hosting site like tinypic or imageshack or photobucket, then get the code from there.
Then you need to put the blahblahblah. jpg bit inbetween {img} jpg{/img}, but change the { to [.

Instead of the "quick reply" button at the bottom, hit the "reply" button at the bottom right of the last post. You are now in advance editing posting. Paste your Url on the page cuteoverload.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/20130108-163319.jpgThen highlight the URL and press the little picture icon above the grumpy emoticon [imgage]http://cuteoverload.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/20130108-163319.jpg[/imgage] That puts the image code around the URL. Then hit Post Reply

Sorry if it's been covered before, I searched but couldn't find: what's the karma for? I noticed I can exalt/smite it but what does it do? Is it like a Tesco clubcard, i.e. after collecting three million points I can exchange them to little plastic objects, or is it something far more pure and spiritual?

If you get 1 million karma points, Webs will buy you an ice cream. Any flavour you like.
