Hair cut today.
Shorter than I've had it for years, as growing the last bits of the colour out. But happy with it, and happy the process hasn't taken all that long.

A student who is very down on himself seems to be getting the hang of writing a cohesive paragraph. he was also able to use a math revision website I showed him when he was studying with his sister.
he has an exam tomorrow as part of qualifying process for a training course, and we worked on reframing it from, "I might fail this and then I have no idea what to do next" to "This is one of the ways that they will get to know me, and if it doesn't go well there are still other interactions where they'll learn about me."

Got an email from UEFA and now have my duty schedule for the football championships. I'll be on duty as a spectator assistant for 3 of the matches that are playing in Cologne. I'll be at, but not inside, the stadium. So for the matches Hungary-Switzerland, Scotland-Switzerland and Belgium-Romania. I have to take a day off work for one of them but thankfully the school are being super supportive and are almost as excited as I am about it - the school newspaper wants me to keep a diary/take lots of photos and then be interviewed for an article about it all.

Watching Midsomer Murders. Death by Pitchfork is an artistic way to die.

When I see the word Pitchfork I think of the music review site, so now I'm trying to think of how a music review site could kill you. Maybe by being inspired to go to too many shows, so you die of exhaustion?

I managed to renew my drivers licence online for 5 years for free. And the electronic version on the Service NSW app updated itself.

Subject to a meeting tomorrow confirming the exact date, I should be discharged next week and be able to spend some of the Easter weekend on home leave.
Really happy but don't want to talk about it too much on the ward as there are lots of people who aren't happy to be here and it would be insensitive.

My new purple yarn arrived!!!I am nearly finished my current project... and I was getting antsy about not having any knitting project.
I ordered some yarn last week, a plain colour to go with this very fancy yarn from my favourite shop. Can't wait to cast on.

Pleasant last class with my students, and no more early trains for 5 weeks. Although, this morning was incredibly beautiful as there was snow in the Highlands over the weekend (while I was in them, yay.) and the hills were stunning in the sun.

partner has finally got his ass out to the gym, so I can slob on the sofa drinking wine and eating my treasured dill pickle chips from home, without having to share with him.

Turns out that daughter bought a 2-pack of eclipse glasses. She'll bring me a pair tomorrow, so I can watch a bit of the spectacle. I'd figured I'd just give it a miss, but now I don't have to!

A highly productive day. I unloaded the dishwasher and put everything away, I've done two loads of washing and hung everything out to dry, I have recharged my medication packages, and I had my first decent sleep in a while last night.
I think that the antibiotics and the steroids are kicking in and am very pleased that I was able to avoid hospital last Friday.
