three students lined up. hopefully take some stuff to a local person to prep for a 'bring and buy' tomorrow. hopefully, apply to a few online teaching places. and email a few people who had lessons and then fell off the sprite-wagon.

Well I did everything I planned on today. I could go home. But I can't really because everyone is in the office.

Just got back from a Christmas preview evening for local bloggers. A friend was there too, so it was nice to catch up over a glass of prosecco and I went home with a goody bag, which was nice.

Bought a whole bunch of garden plants and seedlings yesterday. Planning to plant them out today but it's actually pouring rain, which is great (we haven't had decent rain for months), but my gardening plans will have to be put on hold.

went to a small demonstration today, against some very unreasonable rent raises for a few nearby apartment buildings (that were built and rent out as social housing, but there are weird laws that allowed for this sudden raise in rent) - we aren't directly concerned, but the families of some of a's friends are ... was kind of cold to stand outside, but a. had fun playing with a friend and eating some of the cake that was there and holding up a sign. and now she is asking me what a speculator is and repeating chants from the demonstration ...

rikita, that reminds me of going to demos with Spawn when she was little and then having this 3-year-old marching around "Peach Reagan! Peach Reagan" because she was too little to understand what "impeach" meant.
Today I went to the office and then a writing group meeting, then walked to the library without my library books (&^%$#) and have spent the evening doing Duolingo.

Not much at all today - slothing on the sofa after spending hours at a music festival yesterday. Also much sneezing and snuffling and coughing, probably also due to the festival being held in a large park. Lots of pollen and also loads of dust - everything is so dry, when people danced the dust would swirl up at head height. The grass looks and feels like straw.

sounds cute, liiisa ... a. was trying to pronounce the word demonstration all day yesterday. took her a while and sounded really funny, but in the end she got it ...
today, we are going to our climbing group, first climbing a bit, then we have a meeting for the group organizers there, though i'll have to leave in the middle of the meeting and go to my mom's, as it is her birthday (actually my mom is already having a birthday brunch, but back when i asked her if i have time for the meeting, she was still planning an afternoon celebration, so i confirmed the meeting, so now i don't want to cancel ...)

A two hour drive and a stay in a motel because I have training in the department's new online system at 8.30 tomorrow. It isn't safe to do that journey early in the morning. Too much wildlife on the road.

skipping a training day today to hopefully not get sick (all the symptoms are there for another bad cold). and using the time to prepare tomorrow's classes which I didn't have time for yet.

DAy off - well week off actually. I feel like I should leave the house. A pub with a real fire and my kindle, maybe. The weather is grim. Cold and wet.

Another morning at the dentist (PSA folks, don't leave it 2 years between visits).
Despite telling my boss I would be in at 1pm, already got a 'Just checking where you are' text.
18 days till our holiday.

Aqua tone class at the gym, followed by getting my flu jab. Now I have to wait in for a delivery, so might see if my neighbour wants to pop round for coffee. She's been eager to catch up for a couple of weeks, and I've failed miserably to organise anything.

Trying to get into doing work. I'm working today and then off the rest of the week for the Thanksgiving stuff. A bit frustrated trying to get people to move on things. And then of course when time to leave they will be.

Two weeks later - a typical Tuesday: Off to my U3A for my Creative Photography class - last class of the year, so wine will flow and cakes consumed, even though it's a morning class. A spot of lunch - left overs malay - , then shopping for some veg to roast, get my scripts filled, get some $US to take on the cruise next week, roast the veg in time for dinner, then finally watch some TV (maybe a couple of eps of The Expanse on Netflix), and finally into bed and read a chapter of "The Gates of the Alamo" (lovely book book btw)

Today I am LC's slave. He had a bad fall in the playground yesterday and after a trip to emergency the doc thinks he has buggered a ligament in his knee. On crutches and still in pain and so at home today so I can keep up the painkillers and the ice, and keep the leg elevated. Getting around on crutches is still a bit of a hassle for the poor kid, plus he can't carry his stuff around so there are quite a few cries of "Mama".

Stubborn kid actually didn't milk it as much as I thought he would - he kept on trying to get around and get things himself, which was difficult with crutches. And probably why he was exhausted by bedtime tonight.
