I think nigella seeds are used in some cuisines to replace onion flavour--they don't have whatever compound it is that gives a lot of people digestive problems.

I've been following this regime since June, and I don't miss onion or garlic flavours at all - not strong flavours anyway.
Chocolate and fruit buns is another matter ...

Of course now they could marry each other if they wanted Sounds like an amusing spinoff: Wilma and Betty run off together and found a paleolithic women's commune. Which is, perhaps, hinted at in their theme song. "When you're with the Flintstones Have a yabba dabba doo time, a dabba doo time We'll have a gay old time We'll have a gay old time"

I've got a lasagne in the oven and I'm holding you all responsible.
The lasagne itself was very out of date, so I'm hoping it turns out OK. I mean, it's dried pasta right? What can go wrong?!

Plus you're both boiling it and then baking it, so even if there were something inadvisable about it surely that would cure whatever that was!

I have the kind that doesn't require pre-boiling.
Yes, I was less worried about getting sick and more about the pasta getting all mushy or something and spoiling my effort with the sauces! But it went down well and no ill effects!

This thread started off as a grizzle about men, and ended up as a discussion about cooking? (not game to say more)

the man I live with professes to love lasagne but won't learn to make it, and I can't be arsed. So I buy the veggie version ready-made, and he bitches because it's not meat. So I told him to do the grocery order himself and plan which night we eat it, and he hasn't brought it up since.

hahaah! His stepmom took no shit of him and hated cooking. She made healthy, reasonably good meals. He is actually a pretty good cook, I just need to make him do more.

If you come to my neighborhood you'll have the choice of so many Ethiopian places that you might get sick of Ethiopian food. I am not exaggerating if I say that there are at least 30 Ethiopian restaurants in walking distance of my house. I should probably go to one of them again one of these days!
